Suzanne's Art

A Note from Marc

Before her untimely death from melanoma skin cancer, my sister, Suzanne Whiting, created 125 paintings over a four year period.  It was her passion for art that originally inspired me to create music.

Suzanne personified grace and courage.  During her final illness, she had a profound influence on everyone she met.  She was a favorite patient among the nurses, and despite frequent staff rotations, was able to remember all of their names.  In her quiet and gentle way, she always put everyone around her at ease.  She had a knack for listening and getting people to open up and talk about themselves.  Even at the end, when she had every right to, she never called attention to her own failing health, preferring to keep the focus on others.  Suzanne's poise, strength, beauty and love are her lasting legacy.

The paintings below are Suzanne Whiting originals and some of my family's favorite works.  I hope you enjoy them!
