Awakening is one of my gentlest, most heartwarming records. Piano sits at the center, with violin and flute carrying much of the melody and warm choral swells filling out the fuller moments. Two of the pieces add soft, wordless female vocals, more ethereal texture than song.

I think my favorite track is Before the Dawn. It found a home on SiriusXM's Spa channel, which felt like exactly the right place for it.

Warm music for hopeful beginnings and quiet mornings. Somewhere to land when you want to feel a little more awake to the good things.
