How to Open Your Threads Across Time Collector's Edition Downloads

You have six separate files, numbered in the order to open them. Here's what's in each one and how to open everything.

Two of your files open right away

Your first two downloads — 01-read-me.pdf and 02-composer-notes-booklet.pdf — are PDFs. Click either link and it will open right in your browser. After opening, you can also save it to your device. No unzipping needed.

Start with 01-read-me.pdf. It's a quick guide to all six downloads. Then open 02-composer-notes-booklet.pdf — that's where the stories and artwork behind every piece live.

The other four downloads are ZIP files

ZIP files are compressed folders. Before you can use what's inside, you'll need to unzip them. It only takes a moment, and the steps below are simple on any device.

One suggestion before you start: if you have a computer, it may be the most comfortable place to download and organize everything, especially because some of the files are large. But you can also download and unzip the files directly on a phone or tablet. The steps below include Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, and Android.

On a Mac

  1. Find the ZIP file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click it. An unzipped folder appears right next to it.
  3. Tip: if you'd like to choose where it ends up, move the ZIP to that location first, then double-click.

On a Windows PC

  1. Find the ZIP file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Right-click the file and select Extract All.
  3. Click Browse to choose where you'd like the files saved.
  4. Click Extract.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Files app.
  2. Find the ZIP file — usually in Downloads or On My iPhone.
  3. Tap it once. It unzips into a folder right there.

On an Android phone

  1. Open Files by Google, or My Files if you have a Samsung.
  2. Find the ZIP file under Downloads.
  3. Tap it, then tap Extract.

What's in each download

01-read-me.pdf — A complete guide to all six downloads and what's in each one. Open this before anything else.

02-composer-notes-booklet.pdf — The full-color booklet: the stories and artwork behind every piece. Open it on any device.

03-core-files.zip — The complete album in MP3, both bonus recordings in MP3, and a Start Here folder with a personal note from me and a note on listening.

04-artwork-collection.zip — The album artwork and four additional art pieces, in high resolution.

05-wallpapers.zip — Four wallpapers sized for desktop and mobile.

06-high-resolution-audio-wav-files.zip — The complete album and both bonus recordings in WAV format. This is the largest download — about 700 MB. If MP3 sounds fine to you, you don't need this one. But if you have a quality audio setup and want the best resolution, it's there for you.

Want to listen on your phone?

You can download and unzip the MP3 files directly on many phones and tablets. After that, the simplest option is to open the MP3 folder and play the songs from your Files app, Downloads folder, or another music app that supports MP3 files.

Adding MP3s into apps like Spotify, Apple Music, or iTunes can require extra steps, and every phone, computer, and app handles that differently. Because of that, I’m not able to provide detailed phone-transfer or music-app setup instructions here.

For the most accurate help, check the official help page for the phone or music app you use. A search for something like “how to add MP3 files to iPhone,” “how to add MP3 files to Android,” or “Spotify local files on phone” should point you in the right direction.

If you get stuck

Email me here and I'll walk you through things. There's no such thing as a silly question here — I'd much rather you have the music than wrestle with the download process.
